Bakhrati

Location: Indian Himalaya

At our first camp above the river, the curious children gathered while I sketched. Bakhrati wouldn't let me take her photograph, but she was happy to have me sketch her. She squirmed, crossed her legs, turned sideways, looked to the sky, etc and some of my proportions suffered!. As I finished, the boys pointed out that I hadn't painted her shoes.
